Let’s Build a Zoo, if you’re unfamiliar, takes the familiar framework of classic zoo tycoons as its starting point, tasking players with importing and breeding animals, managing staff, and fashioning an appealing park using scenery items, shops, and amenities in order to keep guests happy and the money rolling in. It offers two main twists on that familiar formula, however; there’s a morality system - giving players the choice between keeping everything above board or taking a more exploitative path - plus the aforementioned DNA splicing angle, enabling players to create and exhibit the likes of crocoducks, giraffephants, and chickow. Let’s Build a Zoo’s new Dinosaur Island DLC significantly boosts the number of available options players have to work with by introducing 50 new creatures to resurrect, splice, and exhibit, letting them rustle up everything from a capysaurus to a donkey-ceratops. Elsewhere, Dinosaur Island adds a new campaign to play through, new enclosure types, a new research tree, plus a sizeable helping of new prehistorically themed shops and decorations. And if any of that has your curiosity piqued, Dinosaur Island will cost £7.19/$9.99 USD/8,19€ when it comes to Steam and the Epic Store on 23rd May.
